With Chef Rachel at the helm, the Blackmarket Bakery offers innovative baking classes tailored to student interests. Class size is limited to 10 participants so everyone gets “hands on” experience in our commercial kitchen In Irvine.

Covering Yeasted Breads, from mixing and rising to proofing and baking. Ciabatta, Focaccia, Pain au Levain, Challah, Rustic Rye, Rosemary Garlic Rolls, and Pain de Mie. Take home your own sourdough starter, with care and use instructions.
Cake-Stravaganza (2-Part Class) • Mon.-Tues. 7/8 - 7/9 • 6-9 PM • $116
Covering both Cake Baking & Decorating: Vanilla Buttermilk Cake & Italian Meringue Buttercream; Assembly of Two-Layered Cakes; Practice Buttercream Decor; Piping; Borders; Writing & Basic Fondant Work. On the second night, each student will assemble & decorate a two-tiered Cake to take home.
